Helping you to say goodbye in whatever way feels right to you.

Working Together

Since 2023, I have had the privilege of working with families across Durham and Tyne and Wear, listening to their stories and memories and helping to shape funeral services that are personal, meaningful and entirely their own. It is a responsibility I never take for granted and one that brings me great pride.

You can expect a personal, compassionate and professional service that celebrates the unique life of your loved one and provides a fitting opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance.

There is no single way to say goodbye. Whether you would prefer a completely non-religious ceremony or one that includes spiritual, religious or cultural traditions, every service is created around the individual and those who knew and loved them. Together, we will find the words, music and moments that capture special memories, reflect the life they lived and honour the legacy your loved one leaves behind.

You will always have the time and space you need to gather your thoughts and share your memories. From our first conversation until the day of the funeral itself, I will be there to offer guidance, reassurance and support, ensuring that every detail is carefully considered.

We can meet as soon as you are ready, in person or online.

” Dearest Jayne, we truly can’t thank you enough for all you have done for our family to say goodbye. The ceremony could not have gone more perfect. You had put my mind at rest, you were appropriate, professional and your demeanour so fitting for us all to remember our lasting goodbyes.” (Feb 25)

Family Feedback

I am always deeply touched by the kind and generous feedback I receive from families and friends, whether it is shared immediately after the service or in the days and weeks that follow, once they have had time to reflect on what is inevitably a difficult and emotional experience. By sharing just a small selection of these comments, I hope to offer some reassurance and comfort to those who are beginning the process of arranging a funeral service and considering the many choices that lie ahead.

” Thanks so much again – everyone commented how lovely the whole service was, and a lot felt they learned things they didn’t know. I thought it was lovely and a great send off. ” ( Jan 2025)

” Thank you for preparing such a lovely service – it was perfect. (Feb 24)

I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ for yesterday and delivering the service so eloquently and beautifully. So many people said how much they loved the service, the history and my tribute and so much was down to your delivery. They also said how much they enjoyed your voice and how perfect it was. It was an emotional but beautiful day. ” (Dec 25)
